Redefining She

wild-oneWild One,
I see you
Quivering beneath that old skin
Draped in shoulds and oughts,
Wearing that false smile,
The one that says
‘Yes of course I will..’
Before you set yourself aside
And conform to that safe, known, shape
Of appropriate ‘She’
Wild One
I hear you
Growling in the night,
When your passion wakes you,
Ready to rip his skin or yours
As the truth burning fires of awareness
Blaze their intensity into your mind
Laying bare your compromises
Stripping the lies you tell yourself
Refusing to stay that safe known shape
Of appropriate ‘She’
Wild One
I feel you,
As the dawn breaks
And the false floor and tight smile
Give way to grit, grief and remembering,
That deep, fluid, undulating pulse,
That nectar heart, that moist knowing,
That sweet longing and clarity so bright
They blind you to that safe known shape
And memory,
Of appropriate ‘She’
Wild One
I need you
Ready to shed your fear and thrive,
Ready to feel incandescently alive
Uncensored majesty of womankind
Embodying the grace of the sensually sublime
Receiver of nature’s subtle melodies
Vivid, ageless, honest and free
I stand for you, and you stand for me
The redefined expression
Of appropriate ‘She’

New Beginning

IMG_1259

I finally see

What was there

All along

True self

Offering up

A pure heart

Embracing

The wild side

To live faithfully

With Essence

My inner voice

Sings forth

A new

Life.

Wild Nights – Wild Nights!

expectancy

Wild nights – Wild nights!
Were I with thee
Wild nights should be
Our luxury!

Futile – the winds –
To a Heart in port –
Done with the Compass –
Done with the Chart!

Rowing in Eden –
Ah – the Sea!
Might I but moor – tonight –
In thee!

The Me in Me

imagePhoto by my son 😉

“Don’t let your wild beauty be tamed. Don’t let your heart be swayed by the opinions of others. Don’t let  your individuality be trapped in a vortex of trying to please the world. Don’t let your vision be restricted by someone else’s fear. Don’t give over your originality to conform in unhappiness. Be brave. Step out into the light. Remember you were born to be free. Blossom in your own unique wonder and magic. You have all that you need inside you. Let the wild in you be nurtured. Let the beauty in you be freed.”
