If someone were to ask me, “Who are you or what do you do?”, the first thing that comes to mind is the rigmarole of being an English teacher, and then an inner, censoring voice says, “a dead-end writer.” Everything in me stops at that point, and notices how interesting it is that my mind echoes these thoughts through its empty canyons. In reality, I am an ordinary human being simply trying to live life…not some life situation. In other words, to live life from underneath. This is who I am. That is all. The question then emerges, “How does one live life from underneath?”. That question and a series of failed relationships, jobs, writing attempts, missed opportunities, detours along the path, not to mention mistaken identities, or hiding in dreams have brought me here. It is time to take a soul dive. To let go. Time to take responsibility for my well-being and make it my first and foremost priority for the next year or so. This blog is a means to an end. Over the span of a year or more, I will photograph impressions of my soul that come to me in my everyday life. I will take you on a soul journey.

I loved the title of your blog, and having now visited I see that I resonate a lot with both your intention (to dive deeply within) and your experience (that echoing in the mind of repetitive unhelpful thoughts that trample on dreams). May you shine with well being, inside and out. Blessings, Harula xxx
