Churning waters of delight
Suddenly frozen in unnatural fright
Upon this ghastly, breathless sight
At such overpowering height
In the middle of the night
A soul to soul fight
Of space closing in tight
It was a vicious, deadly bite
In the darkness a terrible blight
No earthly being could ever right
That sent her into flight
Soaring through pure loving light.

I am happy you enjoyed it, Eve. Poetry speaks to the heart sometimes when we least expect it…like a lot of other things in life. xo
